My Creative Process
Most of my sound creations do not emerge from a fixed composition, but from an immediate dialogue between myself and my surroundings in the present moment.
This dialogue takes place within me, sparked by my perception of the subtle connections that exist, for example, between people or places and their stories. From this arises the need within me to give these invisible yet tangible stories a sonic expression — one that connects them with one another and allows listeners to experience them through sound.
In this way, sound sequences and musical ideas arise directly within me. They unfold and continue to develop as I play.
In this sense, I also understand my work as process-based sound art. The focus is not only on a finished work, but on what comes into being in the moment of playing: a living process of perception, sound, and creative impulse.
This process is also carried by a spiritual dimension. For me, sound is not only a form of musical expression. It is also an echo of the dialogue between mind and soul — between the creator and his creation.
This process can be compared to a painter looking at a landscape. He does not simply reproduce what he sees. He interprets it through his own perception, sensitivity, and experience. From the same landscape, countless different images can emerge.
It is similar with my gong playing. The gong becomes the canvas on which I use the sound colors available to me to express my interpretation of the present moment. The people, the subtle impressions of a place, and the diversity of nature become sources of inspiration for my sound compositions.
Each sound creation is therefore less a repetition than an interpretation of the moment — a personal expression of what I perceived at the moment of its creation.
Some of these works remain unique and can only be experienced in that moment. Others later find their way into audio and video releases, where the original intention is preserved while also creating space for new personal experiences.
